Mom was coming over today so I made one of her favorites.
So simple but so good.

Hello. Interesting. So, it looks like you are using parchment paper to collect any cheese that melts so it doesn't go to waste, right? And maybe potentially mange the mess at the same time. To ask a dumb question, do you leave the parchment paper in there while it is baking? Also, are the white bricks cream cheese?
The plated mac and cheese looks terrific.LG BGE, KJ Jr, Smokin Bros. Premier 36 and Pizza Party Bollore -
This is amazing and decadent and I am going to have to try it when all my (now adult) kids are home. I back tracked on your posts @bigguy136 to where you first posted it. @mahenryak that is not parchment paper- it is smoking milk... what?? I know- delicious. https://eggheadforum.com/discussion/1194009/smoked-mac-and-cheese#latest
@bigguy136 you said you changed it- other than the pulled pork, and stacking the cheese differently (why...? Just because your dish is a different shape?) what way did you change it?
Thanks!!Johns Is, SC

I love it! Give it a try with brisket next time:

Brisket, I like that idea.
I used 12oz of skim milk, 8oz cheddar and 8oz cream cheese. I believe original recipe was 6oz of cheddar. I added extra being I used skim milk.
Smoked cheeses into milk pan at 225 for 30 minutes, then that makes the sauce.
Adding the pulled pork makes this a main meal rather than a side dish. Mom took half the pan home with her. Great comfort food.Big Lake, Minnesota

Well, you are never too old to learn something, I guess. Smoking milk? I've never heard of that. That's great.LG BGE, KJ Jr, Smokin Bros. Premier 36 and Pizza Party Bollore

Smoking and melting the cheese in one fell swoop, ingenious!
