#82 XXL First Cook

I was going to do this as a whole but cannot resist. Used a long lost lump ring to start so there would be a nice pile for the paper towel and veggie oil start. Don't think that was necessary. Holy cow the grid must weight 35 - 40 pounds and the PS 45 to 50. This is not an easy cooking system. Took about 20 minutes to get to 500.

XXL #82 out of the first 100, XLGE X 2, LBGE (gave this one to daughter 1.0) , MBGE (now in the hands of iloveagoodyoke daughter 2.0) and lots of toys

Very cool. Have fun breaking in the virgin Egg. Given its size, I hope to see some big cooks in the future.

That a stock grid? The rods looks thicker than the usual ones."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

20 min to 500 is impressive for that beast. Not sure I can get there that fast in my large unless I use a weed burner to light all the top lump.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX
