Chicken Shawarma from Ben Stiller and Ahmed Badr

I tried a recipe presented by Ben Stiller and Ahmed Badr (I think the recipe was Badr's alone) for chicken shawarma, and it was really good. They didn't have any pita for some reason in the store, so I used naan instead, and it was thicker and a bit more bread-y than pita would have been but still delicious. They were marinated skinless, boneless chicken thighs, sliced cucumbers, sliced tomatoes, dill pickle spears, and a white garlic sauce. I didn't take any photos of the actual wraps, sorry.

for the photo of Ben Stiller. It's odd, I thought that movie was hysterical years ago, but when my wife and I tried watching it several months ago, it just didn't seem very funny anymore. Dunno.

Looks good. One suggestion for chicken shwarma that I saw in other recipes and tried with success: reserve some marinade and, after removing chicken from the Egg, dice the chicken (rather than slicing) and throw briefly in pan with marinade. Ensures that every piece is seasoned, crisps the chicken and is easier to spoon into a pita.

You didn't post on that thread. Do you mean that you tried the recipe that @bosco0633 posted there, and you also liked it? It looks really good, too! I'm not so sure about a tablespoon of sugar in the sauce, but still, the rest of it looks good. I'd be interested to confirm that you made the same recipe and also liked it a lot.

So I did this recipe last night and we really enjoyed it. Used low carb tortillas instead of pita and added some shredded lettuce. I'll try pan frying the leftovers next.
