    85.  He lived a good life after football.  Not many football stars these days living into their 80’s.

Three H.O.F. Packers gone since last Oct. Jim Taylor, Forrest Gregg, and now Bart. Gregg passed just last month. I was 7 when G.B. won Super Bowl 2, they were all like heroes to me. Really tough to see them leave us but he really had a rough go of it with his health the last 4-5 years. Good to know he’s at peace now.

1969, I’m 12 years old, growing up in Maryland.  Never had anything that could be considered cool, but I have a #15 green and gold shirt that I dearly love.

Bart Starr’s playing years were before my time.  As a Lions fan, I’m glad I missed them.  However, I did enjoy his coaching career.
