Another big cook for me

I was tasked with cooking for the kids school and the Teachers Appreciation picnic, for the 2nd year. I started with 6 butts weighing 46 pounds and split them between my 2 Eggs, and 3 trays of Mac and cheese that I cooked in my smoke vault. Put the butts on around 10 at night with hickory and cherry and they were done between 6-8 the next morning. I ended up with 24 pounds of finished meat and 24 pounds of Mac and cheese. Not a single bit of leftovers. It was a huge success.
I'm in Fredericksburg, VA, and I have an XL and a medium.

Way to bring it home.  Congrats for the whole operation.  No doubt there will be the call again as noted above.

Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood.  Life is too short for light/lite beer!  Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint.

    That’s a killer spread!

I cant believe you basically had a 50% yield on that pork! I always plan for butts and shoulders (and briskets for that matter) to cook down but I’ve never planned for 50-60% yield. I guess I’m lucky I’ve never come up short!

Nice job.  Cooking for that many is a challenge.

Well done! Most appreciated, I'm sure.

Noticed the Food Lion sponsorship. I thought they no longer had stores in Fbg. One closed, the other was reincarnated as Weis Market a couple of years ago. No big deal, just curious,

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

I live about 20 minutes south of the Burg and our store stayed Food Lion. The ones a bit further north did change to Weis, you’re correct
