    Went with a Yeti...
I have a Yeti 50 that I absolutely love due to its deeper depth. For whatever reason, Yeti decided to discontinue the 50. I haven’t figured out why it wasn’t more popular than it was.

Location- Just "this side" of Biloxi, Ms.

    Status- Standing by.

The greatest barrier against all wisdom, the stronghold against knowledge itself, is the single thought, in ones mind, that they already have it all figured out.

  • Yes they are worth it.
  • Love all three of my Yeti coolers. Pricey? Yes. Overpriced? Yes. Regrets about my purchases? No.

Made use of this puppy for a family party yesterday. I didn’t lose any guests due to warm beverages.

Pelican for me.  Have several rifle cases and flashlights from them that are 15-20+ years old.  My drone is pelican case, and we used to keep our NVGs in them on the helicopter.  Made in the USA and lifetime warranty!

Plus the numbering matches the capacity......as it should.  Unlike yeti, who on average is 15% less than the model number (and wont give you the quart size on their website or literature.)

Spent a lot of money on Yeti. Have yet to ever be disappointed in their performance or service.

Over priced? Perhaps. I have had them for years, and based on frequent rough usage, they have proven very worthy to me.

I have bought other coolers, some mentioned in this post by others who had great luck with them. I did not.

It would be unfair to form an opinion based on my exposure to the limited number of products and the limited time of use of the competitive brands to Yeti.

Others make great products, and have value, but Yeti has time and again proven the value to me.

Sticking with what I know and what I like.

@YukonRon That is exactly how I feel on most purchases! I couldn't agree more with exactly how you worded your response! I'd rather spend a buck more on products that is tried and true than the (mostly) disposable junk on the market today... looking at you Coleman :)

I just bought one from Hooked. Reviews looked good. They have a 50 and they are on sale right now $189

My first roto-molded cooler. I have an Rtic 20 soft cooler that I like. Works well, decent size. Good size for travel and it fits on the luggage rack on my Harley.
