Serving Griddles
Ok...here's a question. I use many (sometimes 3) cast iron devices in my egg/weber, mushrooms, potatoes, veggies, etc. I keep those items in their cast iron to keep them hot when I serve.
Now, the question. Does anyone use the lodge (or similar) serving griddles, when serving? (fajita's , steak, seafood, etc) If so, how did you heat it? That's the only 'stopper' for me. No more room on the grill for griddle heating.
I guess, you could sear on it and serve it on the same griddle?
Maybe I'm looking at a solution to a problem I don't have...Like I need another grill tool.
After pondering my own question, I can honestly answer that it would be another item I have to clean. Maybe I don't need them. I just like a good presentation.

Don't tell me you've never heard of a gasser 😀
I have 2 smaller hot plate type of things (similar to what @PhotoEgg posted above) which we use when we have folks over. They were my mom's, and are kind of old school, but work very well to keep dishes hot.

not sure how many people, how much food or how long you are trying to keep warm, but I regularly use Chafing Dish Full Size , if that is to big divide it into 2 or 3 compartments - they run around $30.00 and Toss the aluminum Pan so clean up is easy

I'm with you.... I love searing hot serving platters, but I hate the additional clean-up & maintenance of raw cast iron. It's a lot more expensive than Lodge, but Staub makes really stunning black enameled cast iron serving pieces that you can heat up on the egg or gasser and serve directly on it.

@smittydog27 I use lodge all the time for that exact reason:

Yeah, I have two weber gasser's. They hold my accessories for the charcoal webers! I guess I was looking for more grillin things to buy. LOL. I usually use two lodge pieces per meal and try to limit to one cooker (but I have had three going at one time!).
I might pick up some lodge cast iron serving griddles if I find them on the cheap. I think the wood nest for the bottom is what I like (natural wood) about them.
