I have been making Kelley's Award Winning Brisket Chili for years. However, with this recipe I finally had success making a Texas bowl of red. Wow!

I used a dutch oven instead of the instant pot. Loved the results. Excellent flavors. Served with Aaron Franklin's beans and potato salad. I let it sit over night before serving. Will definitley do this one again!

Now I understand the difference between the chili I grew up with and a Bowl of Red. Both will have a place in the rotation. I considered a 2nd post on the sides. Cooked a small point all day yesterday, just to have brisket for the beans. They were outstanding! Only the 2nd time I have made potato salad, both recipes are a keeper.
