    @DoubleEgger Sorry to hear. Hope it's less than a tear.

    @DoubleEgger Hope you dodge a bullet but if you think you tore it... Here's to miss self-diagnosis. Good luck.

    Just pulled a 7lb pork shoulder off the egg. Went on at 11:30 last night and ran around 280. Wrapped and into the cooler for a trip to Athens to feed the in-laws. FIL had surgery yesterday and needs some nourishment.

    Nope. Seems I'm living past my "Use by Date" and Cataract surgery is in the offing. And crystals in the eye aren't good so meds to stave off Macular Degeneration. Still wearing the wrap around sun glasses, in the house. as I type this. They dilated both eyes, twice, so I'm still gathering lots of light. The new doctor was required cause my original doctor closed his practice. Do yourself a favor, change doctors every 20 years so you don't outlive them.

    What's that coming over the hill - is it a monster?

    No, my funny Welsh warbling combo’ friends 'The Automatc' - or indeed The Automatic Automatic as they were largely unknown in America,  see here https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=o7X3LYGV_N8

    It's the return of the PL - huzzah!

    It’s a three day spread;

    Saturday 12:30, Fulham get to see what a quality football team looks and smells like as the Man City lads dart between them and score goals for fun. Ooosh, 3-0 defeat for the semi-doomed London lads.

    Proper game time matches now;

    I find Brighton and Southampton are equally repellent, so if a cage could be dropped over the Amex during the match i would be obliged. Both teams very much need the points. Tough to call but I hope Saints’ urge is greater that the Seagulls’. Ah - whatever, playing safe : 1-1

    Burnley will not be thrilled to see Wolves come to town. They are teetering and their recent surge could be totally undone by losing this. Nuggety match. Caution to the wind, 1-0 home win and Dyche breathes a sigh of relief.  Do not bet the farm on that!

    Huddersfield can equal a record for the earliest technical relegation if they lose at Palace. Can i just refer you to the word ‘if’, there. Despite the shoddy and wretched Huddersfield form all season Palace have got the yips at home. Surely they must win this? Against my better instincts I’ll go 2-0 Palace. (what have I done?)

    Brendan Rodgers and his sparkly teeth - I say his, I mean the ones he is now custodian of that contain none of his own DNA - welcome Bournemouth who are on a hot streak of one away win.  Hints of a turgid mid-table kick about. 2-1 Leicester.

    Newly confirmed as manager, Ole is putting on a little party at Old Trafford, with Watford invited. The fun goes on and I see (pray for) another win for the Reds. Don’t care how much by, so 2-1.

    In the EFL Stoke will draw with Sheff Wed - because thats their signature move right now.

    Tea-time is West Ham at home to Everton, a match I am sure has been played about 7 times already. Both teams are in with a shout for the non-existant ‘best of the rest’ Everton Cup, but are outside bets for it with Watford and Wolves better placed. If this game was in three weeks time I would completely guarantee a total snooze-fest of beach bound mediocrity. Even so, tomorrow is likely to be the definition of mundane while wearing shorts. 2-1 West Ham - but 0-0 is equally likely.

    Sunday - late lunch kick off is Chelsea at Cardiff. The away team have bounced a bit recently but there is a hint of banana skin about this. Neil Warnock is chomping for more scalps and to stay up. I think this will be close unless Chelsea close the deal by half time - meaning 3-0 at least. More likely a 2-2 for me.

    The big game next, Spurs at Liverpool. The home team still foster dreams of the title - most of us think thats beyond them as they just don’t seem like title winners (yes, its a scientific as that folks). Spurs could finally put the mockers on it but either way goals are in the air. 3-2 Liverpool and the dream lives on.

    Monday evening sees Arsenal aim to close in on CL football next year. Newcastle seem to have settled and solidified - an absolute mystery how and if Rafa left his manager post they would be screwed. Arsenal won’t make it easy for themselves and their strikers are in patchy fitness. But - I fancy them to have enough. 2-1.

    Well its good to be back and just to confirm BREXIT has not happened, it might still do, it might not or it definitely will or definitely won’t.

    Frankly the whole thing has just underlined the need for a benign dictatorship. When our ‘leaders’ decide the day before we were supposed to leave the EU to say things like ‘now is the time for us to think about what the people want’ while drawing their public funded salary achieved through winning a public election, without any hint of irony - you know its time to head for the woods with barbed wire and some MRE.

    I guess getting old. Not a single incident. Just noticed my heel/ankle was hurting a little. Went to bed and woke up with this crap. Can’t walk. Trying to get the MRI scheduled today.

    What about Derby in the 07-08 season? 11 points in the whole season, Huddersfield have 14 already.

    Huddersfield will equal the earliest exit if Palace win plus both Southampton & Burnley do they same. Down before the clocks have changed. But after the start of the cricket season. I tell you, the world's gone nuts.

    Enjoying the IPL then Carey? Good match earlier, although it's always painful to watch David Warner in form because he's such a **** (keeping it clean, he's worse than that).

    Exactly two years ago TODAY, I ruptured my Achilles. I walk around on it for four weeks before I saw a Dr. Three days after that, I had surgery on it. Good luck. It's not a fun recovery. It's a long road, but I will say, it wasn't as bad as I thought.

    A Dr should be able to easily diagnose without having to look at an MRI. I inititally went to a foot and ankle ortho guy, but found a podiatrist that did lots of tendon repairs, and she did a great job. It ts not a tear, they may want to boot or cast for a few weeks instead of cutting you.

    I'll PM you my number. Feel free to give me a call with any questions and concerns or even if you just want to **** to someone.

  • @DoubleEgger good luck man let us know what they say.

    I tore mine last year but didn’t have it tear fully like @thetrim and it still took months to get right and a boatload of steroids and anti inflammatory drugs.

    Dont use this as an excuse to miss Butt Blast. That would be Busch League ;)
