First off I want to say thank you to all here for all of the info I have been able to get from this forum over the past few weeks. I have been using a cheap charcoal grill and a homemade barrel smoker for years and decided to up my game. I was planning on getting a pellet smoker and then started looking into the egg. I was able to find answers to all of my questions with searches on this forum. Last Thursday I bought a large egg on my way home from work. I had Friday off so I built a table in the morning, put the egg together and had a rack of ribs on it by about 2. Built a pretty simple table with what I had around the house, figured I can use this one as a test to see what size etc I like and rebuild it nicer next summer. Also ordered the adjustable rig from cgs but it didn’t show up till today so I had to improvise for a higher rack and some tin foil underneath for drip pan. So ribs Friday night, smoked pork butt for 12 hrs Saturday, grilled salmon and halibut for lunch Sunday and onion bombs with the left over pulled pork for Sunday night dinner. Just realized I didn’t take as many pictures as I thought, too excited to try the food I guess. Great first weekend with the egg, very happy with my purchase.
