On 10-11-2015 I saw a thread here about the Meater Kickstarter project and I became a backer for $144. I didn't think I'd ever get it but low and behold it came in last week. First cook today in the rain.
I must say I'm impressed with it so far. Seems to be very well built with quality materials and the app is clean and intuitive.

Awesome. Congrats on getting it. I love mine as well.

That's great. I think the main questions many of us had at the time was how well this thing would hold up with repeated use. Glad to hear it's made well.
On their website now some models are selling for $69. I bet some folks here will jump on that."I've made a note never to piss you two off." - Stike

I want one for the dishwasher (can’t fit cables through the door. I haven’t bought it yet out of spite for the way they treated their kickstarter participants but I’m probably costing myself a perfect solution for what I need.JohnInCarolina said:That's great.
