tjhat shïtbis too small and looks cheap.

My opinion is yes because your lift kit is too big for 35s. 37s might be too small also. What size lift kit did you get?

Also, in my opinion you went with too big of rims. That’s not helping your tire size.

The problem is with the GMC you can go 6" and 35's are touch and go because of the wheel well. 37 will fit with the offset I got, but I don't want to trim anything structural because it is a brand new truck. 35 is fine, 37 will fit but will rub, WTF why is this first world problem bothering me

Because you spent $60,000 on a truck and you don’t want it to look like a$$. My buddy has a Sierra All Terrain with 35” and 6” lift and it doesn’t look like that because his wheels are not that large. Here is his.dopey said:The problem is with the GMC you can go 6" and 35's are touch and go because of the wheel well. 37 will fit with the offset I got, but I don't want to trim anything structural because it is a brand new truck. 35 is fine, 37 will fit but will rub, WTF why is this first world problem bothering me

Essentially It's going to be the same, 6" lift with 35's, only difference is I have 22's.What I do when I'm black out drunk is none of my business...

Right and that’s the problem. He has maybe 18” or 20”s. You don’t have enough sidewall so it makes your tires look small.dopey said:Essentially It's going to be the same, 6" lift with 35's, only difference is I have 22's.Rockwall, Tx LBGE, Minimax, 22" Blackstone, Pizza Party Bollore. So with 37's I'd have to trim some interior **** to make them fit, I might have the torsion bars lowered an inch in the front to look better. I just don't want to cut my new truckTEXASBGE2018 said:

Did you just get the wheels? If it was me I would get no larger than 20s and then the 35s will look a lot better because you will be getting a lot more sidewall. I used to have an old K5 Blazer with 38s on it but the wheels were 17” and it made the tires look monstrous.

I already have the 22's. Just debating on the tire size, the place that did the lift is good with making the customer happy so I can try 37's and see if it works for meWhat I do when I'm black out drunk is none of my business...

I agree with this ^^^^^^^. I would avoid cutting on it if it was me. Now with that said, if I had the money that some of these forum legends has, I wouldn't even think twice about cutting it. But seeing how I don’t, I wouldn’t cut on it until it was much older. But that’s just me my friend. Again, it comes down to money which is limited in my case.dopey said:

It will help a bit. But your wheel size is really the issue. Lowering the torsion bars will help also. But if you want it to really look beefy you need to bite the bullet and get smaller wheels.dopey said:I already have the 22's. The question is do you go with what you know you want now and what looks good in your eyes on your truck. Not sure if you already own the rims. But if you sell them you might lose very small amount. Seems like a small price to pay for the long haul of looking at it every day.Columbus, Ohio--A Gasser filled with Matchlight and an Ugly Drum.

Yeah, the wheels are already bought. I actually like the 35's just because of the non rubbing aspect. I'll probably have him mount a 37 tomorrow to check for fit. Either way, the wheels are staying and it's the difference between 35 and 37Jstroke said:The question is do you go with what you know you want now and what looks good in your eyes on your truck. I'd say 35's aren't too small but something else sure is.I used to be able to name every nut that there was.

I've never agreed with anyone fromTX before, but @TEXASBGE2018 is correct. If they'll take the tires back will they take the wheels? 18's or maybe 20's and get some sidewall - right now it kinda looks like you might wear a a flat bill trucker hat and have the rear dropped 4 inches too low, ala carolina lean,,,

Just to show you how you change when you get older, here is my current 4 wheel drive. All factory.

Big big difference from my first vehicle, a 1964 Ford.
-
@SGH I understand. Never had a new truck, and pops hammered me when I bought this one. Saved for 3 years to buy it outright but people still question how I can buy a 3500HD and assume I finance it.
Now I lift it and want to put wheels and tires on it and there's more judgement. I expected it from the forum since nobody knows who I am in real life, but it's funny how it happens in the neighborhood too even when you don't solicit anybody else's opinionWhat I do when I'm black out drunk is none of my business...

Brother I hope you know that I ain’t judging you. Quite the contrary. I’m all for you doing whatever you want to do to your truck.
