I am in Austin and I leave at 9:00 tomorrow morning. Does anyone know if I am able to be there at 8:00 in the morning and get my food quickly? I'm driving to Dallas with someone and need to be back downtown by 9:00. Is this doable or wait until my next trip?
Cheers,
Jason

Order the Real Deal Holyfield with Brisket. That’s on the bottom.

That looks so good it's almost unfair!

I would give yourself 30 min all-in to order, get your food and eat. The line can be 30+ minutes on the weekend but I've never waited more than 10 min during the week (assuming SXSW. ACL Festival, or Formula 1 were not in town- which they are not). Looks like zero people were in line at 10am when Buzd posted above and that is not uncommon for breakfast during the week.
Unlike other bbq places where you order and they pile your food on a tray as you order, Valentina's gives you a number and bring it out to you. This can take a few to 10-15 min depending on what you order and how busy they are. Ask Buzd how long it took him today and you should be able to use that for a guide.
Well worth the stop so go for it.Keepin' It Weird in The ATX FBTX -
There was no line. 30 sec to order, about 7 minutes for food. Real deal Holyfield with brisket. It was delicious.

BTW, the green stuff is their habenero sauce. Also, recommended.NOLA

Are they still located in the parking lot near the Conoco station?

Different parking lot, different road, different gas station. But yes, parking lot.

Too much salt.

I've never been to Franklins, because I refuse to stand in a 5 hour line. But, Aaron Franklin goes to Valentina's for lunch. That should tell you something. Black's BBQ in Lockhart used to be my favorite BBQ joint, but Valentina's has them beat. @Mickey and I like to go there for lunch from time to time.__________________________________________Dripping Springs, Texas.Just west of Austintatious

Couple of years ago @Village Idiot enjoying a single 2lb beef rib. Possible to be the very best peace of meat cooked ever! Still today only $20 per lb.

That looks incredible. But I don't know if I'd want to eat that and then go to a customer meeting! Eating that and some coffee can be a risk!Milton, GA
