Ron takes a lot of grief here, but his service cannot be beat.  I've got a half dozen gaskets from Ron.  He always sends instructions, the gasket he sends are slightly oversized for your egg, and his prices are beyond reasonable.

OP - just contact Ron and avoid headaches

Ron is a great dude. He has always been one of my forum favorites. He has sent me a few free things over the years. I’m in the process of returning the favor in kind.
All jokes aside, I purchased a brand new, in the box Muhle R41 for Ron. He messaged me not to send it to him because he had no want or need of it. What’s my point? This speaks volumes about what kind of person that he is. Most people would of took it even if they didn’t need or want it and sold it for the money. Ron is a good man and of high moral character in my book.
If you don’t like Ron, there is about a 99% chance that your are just a dikk or jack wagon.
Do you have extra stuff you want to get rid of? Because if you do, I have a small bit of space to fill up until my much better half gets worked up and runs me out.

Not really, a new guy jump on this old thread yesterday and inquired about a gasket. Peanut gallery rarely misses their opportunities.
  • Rutland gaskets are not designed for use near food. That said, they can be obtained at most Home Centers (Menards) near the fireplace supplies. Get the flat rope and it takes two for the upper and lower shells. I also purchased their silicone adhesive to attach it which is superior to 3M Super 77 in my opinion. Don't physically eat it or it will clog your digestive tract.
Don't eat the gasket?!  Man, I had it all wrong!  Anyone dumb enough to eat a fiberglass heat barrier has no business being around fire.  Probably not even a toaster.   The Rutland is an easy, cheap, and obvious upgrade, but I'm sure such ingenuity riles the suits in Atlanta.  Also, don't drink motor oil or turn that weed whacker on your arm.  Don't say I didn't warn you.

Put a piece of white bread in the palm of your hand and crumple it into a ball real tight like. Set this ball of squished up bread down on the edge where the felt goes and smash the dome down on it. That works just as good if not better than Ron's "gasket" and costs less than a dollar.
I used to be able to name every nut that there was.

Seems the gasket he sent you was less than a dollar also.

Not for use near food ? Does that mean RRP has been slowly poisoning me and my family for years ???
