Salvaged a Performer and a spare mismatched lid with no handle and thermometer. Raided my parts bins and ended up with this

Nice work! You do know they make a rotisserie kit? It has a spacer ring to raise the protein up a bit. Pretty cool though. The kit isn’t free by any means either.

Thanks all for the kind words. @pgprescott yes I know about it, I'm too cheap to splurge 250 loonies for a rotisserie kit on a salvaged kettle, plus it's boring. The satisfaction of jury rigging something is priceless

The SS Performer is a nice addition. Love the SS work area it has. And those old charcoal baskets are waaay better than the new ones they switched to a while ago.

BTW, I looked everywhere for one of those handles, but Weber doesn't make that part anymore, and it's a weird hole center. I ended up having to fabricate one.

@caliking hard to believe, it's my first kettle! love the storage bin too.
@blasting that handle is a good candidate for 3D printing! Speaking of handle, I made the kettle dome handle with a band saw in five minutes, still has sharp edges.
