Sheered Off Hinge Bolts

My movers damaged my BGE. Two of the bolts that connect the dome lid to the rear spring hinge have sheered off. I believe the bolts are welded into the dome so these bolts have sheered off completely. Has anyone found a way to drill and tap those areas so I can reconnect the dome. Fortunately only side sheered off, so the dome is wobbly, not useless.

Bill, they are only attached to the band. As @fishlessman said below. Clinch Studds.
You are ok. They can be replaced.
This link will give you an idea of where all the parts fit.

There is nothing welded into the dome. All the bolts are replaceable.
So is this the old style band?
Pics would help~ John - https://www.instagram.com/hoosier_egger

Make them pay for it. They should have treated it more carefully. Its heavy but that doesn't mean its not delicate. Did it do any other damage? This is why when I move in the next couple years I am packing the egg myself into the truck. I don't trust movers for the most part.Rockwall, Tx LBGE, Minimax, 22" Blackstone, Pizza Party Bollore. BTW, your closest dealer or BGE direct can help you get the studds.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas
