    Been to LA many times.

Take a short uber/cab ride to Santa Monica and go here, you won’t be disappointed!

Yelp for the win! J/K. As far as things to do, It's LA!! We have been there 5 or so times in my life and every time we make a trip up to Malibu and eat lunch at the Randalls Grocery. If you think celebrities are neat we have seen/met (Steven Speilberg, Tom Hanks, Bruce (Caitlyn) Jenner, Sandra Bullock, Kurt Russell, and Matthew McConaughey) Also, we enjoyed going south to visit the Laguna Beach Area. UCLA's Campus is awesome as well. Foodwise its one of the largest cities on earth so I say again Yelp for the win!

Never go to LA without hitting Las Brisas at Luguna. Go at night, delicious food, great soft jazz, excellent menu, excellent list of spirits.
Beautiful location and a nice ocean breeze.

My other favorite is The Hill at Orange. Great food, loooooooppnnnnnnggggg wine list, breathtaking views. Get a firepit, relax with a glass of wine, enjoy the sunset, eat late, order anything off the menu, it is all great.

Both are not exactly wallet friendly, but both are worth every penny.

I have tons of others. Lemme know.

Been to LA several times, but it's been a LONG time since my last trip. Once (mid-80s I think) I was on a business trip and had to be there over the weekend. Was staying at the Sheraton Universal, just down the hill from Universal Studios so I went there on Saturday. That evening, Chavez Ravine to watch a Dodgers game. Sunday, I drove down to Anaheim (a bit of a hike) and spent the day at Disneyland! Loved it!

If I ever get back, I definitely want to try Pink's Hot Dogs!

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

+ 1 on a Dodgers game.   From there, you'd be close to Griffith Park Observatory.
