Free unsolicited advise:
dont buy the nest. look at the new modular table. For starters you can just buy the base only and then go from there.______________________________________________

Welcome aboard. Wish I had started with the xl

@Stubby you can probably get it out on your own. I did it with my 6 year old son. I cut the side of the box so I could pull the parts of my XL out one by one. Nothing was too heavy for me. Getting it in the nest was a little tricky, but not too bad at all! I say go for it!!

Put some charcoal in that egg, its hungry.Southeast Florida - LBGE
In cooking, often we implement steps for which we have no explanations other than ‘that’s what everybody else does’ or ‘that’s what I have been told.’ Dare to think for yourself. -

Congrats on getting it home! Time to update your signature as “XL coming soon” no longer applies. Maybe change that to the next size you think you’ll get.

@NorthPilot06 that is an awesome setup! Once I'm done moving around every few years, id love a pool and outdoor kitchen set up like yours. I too started with a Kettle for many solid years...8 I think. Then bought an Akorn Jr and Pit Barrel Cooker thinking it would satisfy my desire for an Egg. They didn't...so I finally bit the bullet last fall. Thad all she wrote!
