Send a certified letter with an attached property plat now and every five years. Otherwise you could actually lose property due to Adverse Possession, a legal term that I learned in my surveying class in college. Basically it means if she is using your property without your stating that it is yours for a certain number of years it becomes hers.
I had the problem with a neighbors lawn service scalping my yard . I dealt with it by talking directly to the lawn service, pointing out the line. I also started to mow five feet over into her front yard(no front yard fences allowed in our city) before her lawn service got there.  Or you could plant thorny plants next to the border line.

This is one of the funniest damn threads I've read here in awhile.

I love that you have it as "slightly OT" because all of this is taking place on your lawn that you normally see when you Egg.  LMAO

My recommendation is that you buy a shotgun that shoots rock salt and blast that beeyotch right in the ass the next time she tries to plant something on your property.  That would be the most Maine-iac thing to do.

Not sure where you live but something this simple might keep people out of your yard.

Just Vote- What if you could choose "none of the above" on an election ballot? Millions of Americans do just that, in effect, by not voting.  The result in 2016: "Nobody" won more counties, more states, and more electoral votes than either candidate for president.
  • At my first house, I had a neighbor that mowed a couple of feet on my side of the property line.  I started doing my yard work with a big Smith & Wesson 357 magnum strapped to my hip.  They would come & go in their car and I made sure to wave real friendly.  Problem solved.

just last night i heard a shot, looked out the window, guy tosses a shotgun into a hardsided case and slides it into the pickup bed. him and a girl run to the front cab and took off with the truck like a bat outa hell down the dirt road. pretty sure the new neighbor with an aggressive german shepard were the intended target. so i guess that is the mainiac thing to do.  im not there yet with the tree invader ;) and they are my lobster connection =) been laughing about it all winter since the last planting attack.

the new guy with the dog is learning everything the hard way =)=)=) i still remember the talk when i moved in. first week on the lake i walk into the local diner, everyone already knew me. the word gets around fast.  yes.... slightly ot ;)   my first week i roll in with 4 dogs, a bunch of drunks, three fishing boats, no furniture and an egg.  got blamed for a dead owl, someone dropped of a small pig in the yard for the dogs to chase, maines a strange place =)

will see how things progress.  oh, this is the neighbor that my dog stole their peking duck B) maybe this is the payback

i am considering this, not for the neighbor but for the german shepard that just moved in. after pounding in some posts for the cage around the flower garden, the shepard hit my brittany pretty hard, no damage but just the same. i jumped up and grabbed the first thing near me which was a big ballpein  hammer i used for the posts and took off after the dog, i dont want to hurt the dog. a sling and some acorns might change its mind from entering the yard

If he peed on it he thinks it’s his. Or it is his if he can run off your dog. Dog logic.

I was going to save my first post for the green egg table I am building, however, this seems like an opportune time to comment. Go to the store, buy concentrated round up. Grab your drill and a 1/2 inch drill bit. Also, pick up night vision goggles, because you don't want to do this while your neighbor was watching.

Go from tree to tree, drilling holes as close to root line as you can. Take round up concentrate and dump into drill holes. Two to three holes in a smallish tree should do the trick.

i used to have german shepards, this ones still young and unsure of itself, still trainable. problem with my bird dog is that he grows big ones if im behind him chasing the bigger dog off. he will get in trouble one of these days.

Open carry on my own property?  What's wrong with that?  Confession Time:  Backyard only.  Mowing the grass in the front yard while strapped would be advertising to all where to break in for some nice firearms.  They had a detached garage in the back so they had a pretty private view.  Anyway, they were jerks.

I have a slightly different problem. There's a patch of lawn about 10 x15 feet that belongs to my elderly neighbors. They use a couple guys who mow their lawn with 2 of those huge zero turn rider Toros and they race all the time at flat out speed. Thing is this patch would take a little maneuvering. Instead they just don't mow it. I've talked as best as I can to explain it, but since I don't speak Spanish and they don't speak English I end up just mowing it and cleaning the leaves in the fall.
