I am going down to the Fairground site early tomorrow morning to help build the eggs, nests, and tables or whatever else the Wassi family needs doing. I'll be back down on Friday after SWMBO's doctor's appointment in the afternoon to help with whatever didn't get done the previous two days and will be staying for the meet and great. Doing this is my form of therapy after the long recovery/caregiving stint and as someone once said, "I'll be tired - but it's a good tired". Looking forward to meeting some of you eggheads on Saturday. I'll be the old, tuckered out guy with the camera taking pictures of people whose names I don't know and would love to get shots of you folks for the forum.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

@BugFreak72 - agree on both statements. Not familiar with Vero Beach/Wabasso area and had a hard time finding the Fair Grounds; missed the exit but got there at 10:30 shortly after the trucks arrived. Too tired to take photos of the eggs. Took a couple pictures today after we finished building 132 Large, 35 XL's, and 3 XXL's for the cooks.
Don't know the count of the Mini Max's but if I remember right from last year there were quite a few. 
Sorry about the picture quality, west sunlight was hard to avoid. Still more to do tomorrow before the meet and greet. Was a fun day. Hope to see you among the 400 folks who bought meet and greet tickets. That right there just blows my mind.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

I made it out two years ago. Unfortunately, not this year as April has been a busy month for us, wedding, birthdays and then the retail store picking up as the weather warms. A quick get away sounds good, but should be from everything I think.......we'll see.The Cen-Tex Smoker said:

Pictures from the "Meet and Greet" held in the air conditioned vendor area. People in line for Baked Brie featuring Unicoi Preserves, Wassi's Classic Steak Rubbed Prime Rib, Loaded Baked Potato Bar, Creamed Spinach, and a Summer Salad.
Some of the cooks for tomorrow's Eggfest cooked the food on eggs setup for tomorrow. I had the smoked brie with two kinds of preserves which was very good. The loaded potato bar held up the line for quite a while.
Jess Pryles was signing books after I took this photo.
This is the covered area where the cooking teams will be working. That stack in the middle is FOGO charcoal.
The other stack is BGE charcoal.
Restaurants including Meg O'Malley's Irish Pub will be cooking in this area.
