I was given a bag of grapevines to use for smoking and was wondering if anyone had any experience with using it and what the flavor profile is??
I'm in Fredericksburg, VA, and I have an XL and a medium.

I'd recommend using a Hookah and flavor profile will depend on varietal.Tyler, TX XL BGE 2016, KJ Classic 2019, MES, 18.5 WSM, Akorn Jr, 36"&17" Black Stone, Adj Rig, Woo, Grill Grates, SS Smokeware Cap, KAB, FB 300, Thermapen

Grapevine is an excellent source of smoke. I particularly like to use it with salmon.Weber Kettle, Weber Genesis Silver B, Medium Egg, KJ Classic (Black)

I was told that it’s very sweet, almost bubble gum-esqueI'm in Fredericksburg, VA, and I have an XL and a medium.

i normally buy a 30 lb u pick em box from Fruitia wood and I had 5 lbs of grape vine added to one order. I used it mostly for chicken and it was fine, but your tastes would be much more refined than mine to taste bubble gum on a short chicken cook. It was not overpowering. If you have it go ahead and use it.Nerk Ahia LBGE

I believe grape vine is the traditional smoke wood to use when cooking a Santa Maria style tri tip. While I’ve never cooked with it myself I’ve heard great things
-
Ive never smoked food over it but I burned some pieces from where I trimmed my grape vines the other day in my fire pile and it smelled really good.

Red oak is the traditional for Tri tip in CA.

Grape vine wood has a tart, fruity flavor that works well with poultry, small game birds, lamb, pork and sausage, but use it sparingly or the tart flavor may be overwhelming.
