A little bit ago I panned the pork belly cubes with the requisite brown sugar, honey, and butter.

I just now checked them, and they need a bit more time, but they'll be finished well ahead of schedule. I'll just put the pan in the Carlisle and finish them with the glaze later.

I was wondering if sustained winds of 30 mph is a good condition for a big cookout event? Asking for a friend. TIA.
Drink Woodford, everything else will fall into place.
Solid plan. Wind direction will be key. Fingers crossed.
    It will. Lol
I'm sorry the weather is not cooperating.
went fine. Thank goodness the rain held off cuz I don't think the tents would withstand the winds regardless of the weights employed. Did easy hads off stuff like chicken thighs and pork loins. less time attending cold and windy egg.

Hit up the local Asian market for some real kimchi.  Place is shady as Fock.  Full door coolers with bus trays of stacked meat with tongs, opening the door, helping yourself....the ultimate immune test. Lol
Found a 500mL bottle of Red Boat fish sauce for $7.50.

In the checkout lane was a stack of cold Vietnamese BBQ pork sandwiches $3.50 each, just sitting there.  Like a moth to a flame, I bit.

Delightful actually.  Fresh bread, sliced uncured belly, jalapeno, cilantro, pickled veg.  If something happens, it's been real.

Pork belly off, ribs almost done, chicken on.

The chicken will be oversmoked, it is what it is, I'm not starting another cooker.

Ribs passed the bend test, so they're now in the Carlisle with the pork belly.

Over cooking skinny ribeyes.  At least medium.  Potatoes distracted me and the window was short.  Still well fed.  Happy Saturday.

Just survived My Beautiful Wife's 10 mile, "Get Ron's Ass into Shape" Death March disguised as mushroom hunting.
Still about two weeks too early, for the Mors, but we did find some.
That means; Yea! We get to do this all over again, IN TWO WEEKS! (Feigned excitement there, do not be confused)

Thanks Cap.  These are from my bil’s CAB.  They’re a bit lean and we’re cut thin.  5 minutes on the MM would’ve been best.  They were on 8 minutes.  Reminds me why I prefer MR.  Cant win them all but was still good.  Cheers.
