Morning All:
We were part of a small progressive dinner this evening with three of our neighbors & we had the appetizer course...my much better half wanted me to do the ABT Dip so like a good husband I complied (plus I love the dip)...started by frying up the bacon...
Removed the bacon to drain then the chopped jalapeno's in the bacon grease to get soft...
That is topped with a mixture of cream cheese (2 8oz. blocks), about a cup of chopped pulled port & some of my BBQ sauce...this is spread over the peppers...
Sprinkle some DP Pineapple Head on the mixture & top with a jar of Paul Newman's Pineapple Salsa plus some more Pineapple Head...
Top with the bacon & back on the Egg indirect at 350 for about 20 to 25 minutes for everything to get warm & happy...
It was a great start to a wonderful evening with good food & good friends!

I must try this!
Large Egg with adjustable rig, Kick Ash Basket, Minimax and various Weber's.

Did you have to cut it up? I’d think the cooked sausage would be tough to dip through.

Morning stompbox:
I don't know what "cooked sausage" you are asking about as there isn't any sausage in the dip...the only items are the peppers, then mixture of cream cheese with BBQ sauce & chopped pulled pork, the salsa then the bacon on top...the Scoops dig through the dip without any problem.
Have a GREAT day!

Oy, sorry.
I make my ABTs with sausage and you had a typo (port instead of pork) and I ASS-U-ME(d) poorly.
