Background: We live in the northern suburbs of Dallas. XL bought in 2011. We got a new table/cabinet for it last year. It sits on our porch uncovered. I just bought a done cover for it yesterday. I need to get a cover that covers the entire table, as well.We haven’t used the Egg very often over the last several months and have had a substantial number of days this past winter. Opened it up this week, and there was a bunch of mold inside. Decided to burn it off by heating up the Egg to 400+ to cook it off. And then we noticed this.
Any ideas?

Caused by just what you described. Uncovered water penetrates the ceramics and lack of regular use. It’ll clean off the ceramics. It’s easier to clean the bulk off when warm.

Yep, I had this happen on my first run after moving. I haven’t used it for nearly 4 months due to moving and it sat out in the heavy rain we had a few weeks ago. I didn’t think it was ever going to stop sweating.BrianFairview, Texas

I've never had that much funk, but what I have had washed off with the first rain.I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

When mine have had the sweats, its been like essence of soot and grease. Nasty tar tear drops, but washes right off w. dish soap and warm water.

when doing the burn go nuclear 6-800 and it will burn off a lot faster. Use my egg way to much for mold to accumulate. restocked my lump pantry (added 6 bags to the 2.5 left from my December purchase.

I’ve had it happen before, just not to this extent.
The video is pretty gross. The weirdest part if it is you can here the sweat bubbling out. Sounded like a frying pan or a nice rain shower.

I will take that egg off your hands! =-) Seriously though, that can be somewhat normal, although I haven't had it that bad.
