Sour cream loaf ... faux sourdough in a Dutch oven
Stormbringer

This is a combination of a recipe by Dan Lepard with the technique of Ken Forkish, baking in a Dutch oven. The elongated fermentation time resulted in a sort of fake/faux sourdough flavour, a little tangy. It was amazing when toasted with some melted butter and marmalade. Full details here:

Cheers. One day I'll get around to doing a proper sourdough starter, following the sage advice of @NPHuskerFL (and others). For the time being though, this will have to do.NewbeeMinimax said:Great, An excellent job, as usual.
