I hate to be the forever contrarian, but its not a political thing. Its a money thing.
I'm not so sure of that, Tenpenny.  The Virginia, and now the Alabama elections have scared the republicans, badly.  Add to that a probable SC decision against gerrymandering next summer (which won't redraw any lines for the 2018 election, and I don't know if the 2020 Census will be done in time to redraw them by the 2020 election).  The Orange One is continually sowing "doubt" about the MSM, and has threatened repeatedly to shut them down; you can bet that the right will be doing everything in their power (to include limitation of free speech via the 'net) to maintain their power beyond the losing hand they currently hold.

I'm guessing this was aimed at me, since I'm the only one who's posted a pic.  I grabbed it off of Googlez Images; what pixel size should I avoid?  :(

If a chick-fil-a type family was running an ISP....
This is a terrible example and barely a possibility.  But even if it were to happen, literally nothing is stopping you from going one more line down the list of ISPs and choose the Larry Flint type provider.
It is an unsavory example, but not out of the realm of possibility, unless you are suggesting that families with strong religious convictions are unable to start an ISP business. Most people don't have but one or two ISPs offering service to their homes.

Therein lies the problem.  I only have one, and its via microwave.  Expensive.

Different issue, but the assistance from the gubmnt to extend communication services to remote Americans is also getting eviscerated.  Time to move to a city or buy Penthouse magazines, I suppose.

If they can find out who's behind it, and depending on who that is, this could be some serious collusion.

Truman is the networking CTO at Bloomberg. I think he might have the connections needed to get to the bottom of this.

    If ever needed....

A solution for this mess (if you have strong LTE service and an unlimited data plan).

Load  DD-WRT on your router, then take said router and configure it to utilize your cell phones data connection.

Tell your cable company ISP to "shuve the cable up their arse."

I have sprint and I stream the ish out everything and I have yet to be "throttled" to the extent of not being able to use MOBDRO, KODI, or Terrarium TV. (all side loaded for my IPHONE 7).

    Have:
XLBGE / Stumps Baby XL / Couple of Stokers (Gen 1 and Gen 3) / Blackstone 36 / Maxey 3x5 water pan hog cooker
    Had:
    LBGE / Lang 60D / Cookshack SM150 / Stumps Stretch / Stumps Baby

    Fat Willies BBQ

      Re: Re: Re:

      You're both right.

The FCC is directed by five commissioners appointed by the President, so it's the politicians who get the blame. But that still that means that the FCC staff must implement and defend the policies of those political appointees, however corrupt.

The FCC is like a beanbag chair. It's shaped by the ass of the last person who sat on it. Now Trump sits on it, leaving an Ajit Pei shaped impression.

This policy change could really have a huge impact on Trump voters since the Southern red states (aka Trump Country) are also the largest consumers of porn via the net.
