Decided after all the turkey, gravy and dressing last night
Something different would be nice for just us and our daughters. Shooting for a 5:30 finish.

You ever wish you never started a project? This one was it. I wanted to build a basic wood rack for a face cord of wood. Something that would take an hour or two of time. My wife thought it should be something a little nicer for the yard. Next thing I know it has a roof and doors! I thought the project would take a weekend or two. It turned into a month plus on weekends. Two months after getting people to help move it out of the garage. My first sign I should have thrown in the towel was when 6 vinyl lattice pieces slid out of my truck bed onto the highway. I was fortunate no one was around. Nothing like picking up (6) 4×8 sheets of lattice off the highway. It did help that the lattice was made out of vinyl and could take the abuse of being driven over. The second sign was trying to line up my buddies schedules to help move the shed out of the garage. Without getting schedules lined up and be being sick of it taking space up in the garage I decided to improvise. I backed up my snowmobile trailer up to the shed and had my mom and mother-in-law help me lay it on the trailer to move it. All good and well until they thought I should take a different approach when trying to back up to my house. I tried their approach and next thing I see is the shed go tumbling off the trailer! AHHH!!! So the shed was placed back on the trailer and brought back into the garage for repairs. I was tempted a few times to grab the gas can and some matches. I decided against it and made the repairs. This time around I had my Dad stop over to help load up the shed onto the trailer with my wife and I. We were able to get it placed without issue this go around. I had a chance to stack the wood in it this afternoon. Hopefully it works out and worth the effort. What a pain otherwise!

Great story-that stick burner will win the war yet

BTW- that thing looks extremely well built. Congrats on seeing it thru. What's next in the project queue?Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -

Was mowing, but hose caught on mower deck wheel and tore the hose bib line almost flush with the brick. So, no water right now. Damn.
THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -

Thanks Lousubcap! I was surprised it didn't take more of beating when taking a tumble. A few fascia boards and a couple drip rails. It made a good size dent in the yard. I'm not a fan of green treated wood. We had some issues in the past with warping. Hopefully this shed stays somewhat straight.lousubcap said:Great story-that stick burner will win the war yet

The next project is the junkyard car in my driveway. My mother-in-laws car she was going to junk a few years ago that we made road worthy again. The brake lights went out and haven't made the time to fix them. I think it has something to do with the turn signal switch. To replace the turn signal switch the steering wheel needs to come off and apart. The battery is shot after sitting the last year or so. So it's going to be a project just getting it into the garage. At least there is no shed in the way!

Nice shed.
I learned a long time ago just to cut down trees that stack themselves.

Thanks HeavyG! I wish I had options like that. I could use 7 trees that size in my yard.HeavyG said:Nice shed.

You sir are a good husband! I see many more years of bliss in your future. I know you have it down by now but just a small reminder "yes dear" is a proper response 95 % of the time .Battleborn said:

From one who cleared 10 years of bliss 25 years ago, I will tell you that the landscape definitely changes over time. Nice gesture. Hopefully the recall lasts for a while.
