SRF Brisket = Dynamite!!

So, I cooked my first SRF Brisket. The hype is correct, best I've cooked by far. Not even close. I put it on last night @ 11:00. And it cooked 19 hours@ 225. Usually the flat dries out quickly after being cut, not today. Still moist. I even did burnt ends for the first time with some of the point. I'm just speechless. Most excited I've ever been after I cook.
I have an XL egg and I never had to refill charcoal after cooking around 21 hours total. Used a flame boss it worked great. I slept great while my food cooked. Overall greatness!!!

I've never had a SRF brisket go more than 8 hours at most, interesting that yours took that long. Either way, outstanding looking results.MMBGE / Large BGE / XL BGE (Craigslist Find) / SF30x80 cabinet trailer - "Ol' Mortimer" / Outdoor kitchen in progress.

Way to nail it. Congrats on the cook and result. If looking for a great reason to fire up another one, I always cook a SRF the Sat after Thanksgiving to purge the turkey hang-over. No one complains...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. Don't know that there is a more rewarding experience, in reference to egging, than nailing a brisket. Congrats! Hope it's the first of many.

Did you do anything special to get the bark that dark?
Other than the 19 hours of smoking of course!
