A couple of week ago we took our dad fishing on Lake Erie. We ended up with 22 walleye. That night we breaded and fried some of the fillets on the BGE in a cast iron skillet. They were delicious.

Oh my. I love Lake Erie walleye. The meat is so sweet tasting and flaky. So good.

Nice haul! I am fortunate enough to live where walleye (pickerel here) are plentiful, I probably got 100 this weekend alone. Im still scratching all the cuts the spikes give you when handling. They are the local favorite here and a fun fish to catch. If only I could catch trout in the same fashion, I haven't had any luck with those this year at all

nice catch, not much walleye here, they dont take to the water here for spawning

My Minnesota grandma used to cook up walleye that grandpa would catch; damn I miss that (and them!)_____________
