QUESTION - BEEF SHORT RIBS

Doing a few cooks this weekend.  Today I have beef short ribs, usually I get a block of 4 ribs all together and cook for 6-8 hours.  My brother-in-law gave me 4 ribs already cut into strips(4 pieces compared to 1 block). QUESTION will these cook much faster since they are 4 pieces and have more surface area compared to my usual block of beef.  Thanks for any feedback. I am worried I need to start them soon...
