There's an area near the new Braves stadium full of apartments that has the nickname Gonorrhea Gulch.....so may be a bit too confusing but I like the direction your heading.Eggcelsior said:

My one regret will never being able to see a shuttle launch live.thetrim said:Just saw the Atlas V launch at Cape Canaveral. That never gets old! USA! USA! USA! -
@thetrim - Love seeing the large ones going up. I remember watching an Apollo Soyuz launch with my wife from the hood of our car, parked next to the VAB. That was a spectacular launch. Couldn't do that for shuttle launches later.Eggcelsior said:

@Eggcelsior- I used to view shuttle launches from the front of Launch Control Center. Sound wave would shake the VAB panels. What a rush seeing the shuttle come out of the cloud of smoke. Stopped watching after Challenger. Worked a bit supporting mission specialists Ron McNair and Ellison Onizuka at OFS/ELS so the loss was felt, deeply.Ubi panis, ibi patria.

Yeah, these smaller rockets are a bit of a downer after the Shuttles, but they're still super cool.

Watched documentary "Barbecue" on Netflix last night and really enjoyed it. It's not how to barbecue, but it surveys about 10 cultures on what cooking with fire means to them and draws parallels around community, etc. Human interest/cultural awareness interesting. Word of warning, sub-titled the whole way and most of the people interviewed are not speaking English, so you have to commit to reading most of it.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER

fwiw, barbecue in Mongolia is very different than shopping mall/food court Mongolian BBQ. You've been warned.Acn said:

I just woke from a nap. Was having a dream that HeavyG actually posted a cook. I realized quickly that wasn't the case.------------------------------

No you didn't, but good reminder. We have a few basil plants that are nearing the end, leggy as hell and I'm tired of pinching the buds off. Time to pull them and make pesto.bgebrent said:Made some pesto.THANK YOU FOR YOUR ATTENTION TO THIS MATTER -

Really only memorable for the glaze. 1 c of sorghum and 1 c of cider vinegar. Add some salt, pepper, and crushed red pepper, boil until reduced by about half (stirring constantly) and then brushed on regularly for the last 45 minutes or so.LBGE

Just got some pork belly cubes out of the smoker. Panned them with butter, honey, and brown sugar and now they're back in covered.
