"Egg to Our Troops" - 4th of July UPDATE!!!!

Hope everyone is having a great 4th of July weekend.

Just wanted to give everyone an update on our progress. We have received all donations, raising almost $1800!!!

In addition, we received an "anonymous" donation from a green Ceramic Grill manufacturer in Georgia that DOUBLED the Minimaxes we were attempting to donate for free!!!

All Eggs, charcoal, accessories, spices, and sauces are packed up and ready to deliver to FT Campbell. We are waiting on shipping connexes for the units to prep, pack, and ship to Afghanistan. Should be a few more weeks.

Until then, we have two families of Fallen US Troops that have received assistance. Waiting on response from two additional families that were passed along by a local group that they need some help. School clothes, grocery gift cards, some treats, and letters letting them know where donations came from and a Thank You for their ultimate sacrifice.

I got some pics back today of one Fallen Marine who's daughters are getting to spend the 4th with his brother and mom.

Thanks for ALL YOUR effort! I always like to help people when I can who deserve it and have not gotten in their prediciment due to merely being born in to poverty and not having the will power to rise up on their own.

What I expressed was my honest opinion from my own life experiences and I'm now 73 years young. I wasn't born ghetto poor but I sure learned from an early age what growing up poor meant. That's great news. The guys and gals at Fort Campbell have given much since 9/11/01 and that's been one of the more forward deployed posts in the country between the 101st and 5th Group. Very well deserved and much appreciated!
