Pork chops, andoille, and asparagus

In between going to look at the XXL and going back to finalize the deal, I managed to cook lunch.

Picked up some really nice looking chops yesterday from a local butcher. Marbling was nicer than I've seen locally for awhile. Decided on just salt and pepper. Last night was at my sister's place and grabbed a bit of silver maple trimmings from their wood pile. Gave a really nice smoke profile.

On the small indirect:

Sausage finish just a bit before the indirect stage of the chops, but pretty close.
While the egg temps were coming up I grilled some asparagus. EVOO, S&P.

Seared the chops and put a bit of color on the sausage

Chops finishing

All done

My plate to start

Really nice pasta salad complements of my better half.

Happy Father's Day to all the other dads out there.

Great looking lunch. @DMW I'm headed up your way this afternoon to Meadow Creek, what time should I stop over for leftovers?  Actually maybe I will hold off until you get that XXL.

Thanks guys. @BJM2932 - I'm picking it up Saturday, might be awhile until I have it setup, need to get the patio poured. Ah, who am I kidding, I'll probably roll it out to the driveway just to try it out.
