So the wife got me a 16.6 lb brisket for my birthday! Don't want to screw it up anyone got any good ideas?

    Way to many ideas to count...keep it simple, don't rush and enjoy the ride

    There are numerous post on here about how to cook a brisket. My advice....... just cook it like you would a butt. Pull it off the egg when the flat probes like buttah. Use oak for smoke if you have it. If not, just use whatever you have. Don't sweat it to much and enjoy the cook. With adult beverages of course. :)

    Thanks everyone. Ended up cooking it for 14 hrs last night, once the bourbon and lack of sleep kicked in i shut down about 1am and did the cooler trip. Got it back on the egg to warm it up but all and all pretty freaking tasty!
