The egg cooks steaks so damn well I have to post Everytime I cook one. We never order steaks at restaurants anymore because we are always disappointed by the results. 600 degrees perfect sear and medium rare. This is my wife's favorite meal and all I have to cook is the steak and she's awesome so an early mother's day dinner for her. Whiskey on the patio while grilling. Sorry I'm just always amazed at the result of a simple steak done right.

Steaks on the BGE have ruined my ability to enjoy a steak at any restaurant. I should file a lawsuit against BGE.

For a second there I thought that last pic was you trying to sear the steak on your electric stove! Had to do a double take. Nicely done sir!Milton, GA

It is extremely difficult to have a better steak, anywhere, than a bone-in Ribeye, from the BGE. That is a delicious looking cook.
As with you, steaks are not an option, for us when we choose to dine out. The list of food we will not order has grown so much, that we seldom dine anywhere but home.
The table is comfortable, the wine list top notch, the food is incredible. You may try to convince me otherwise, but be warned, it will be an exercise in futility."Knowledge is Good" - Emil Faber

Filets are good, NY strips are good, but give me a ribeye any day over the other two! Looks great!--------------------------------------------------

Get the egg to about 550 to 600 and cook 2 minutes each side, rotate 45 degrees to attempt grill marks then 1 more minute each side depending on thickness for medium rare. Let rest 5-10 minutes.Franklin, Tn

Great looking steak. Ribeye is my all time favorite.
I wouldn't mind eating a Ribeye at a high end steakhouse, but I can't ever justify the cost. I definitely have no interest in steak at places like Applebees or Ruby Tuesday or even Outback. That pretty much eliminates all the common places with steak on the menu. Forgot to include Texas Roadhouse and Logans in the list of no goes.
Steak on the BGE is sure hard to beat and yours looks exceptional. -
Its just a ribeye???!!! Yeah and Sunflowers is just a painting......
