Had a busy week and weekend with travel and tailgating (I mean college baseball). Finally a chance to at least sear a piece of meat. I hit the beef with some coffee rub, and cooked to medium rear.

I spent part of the afternoon at the state  farmers market,....the annual spring guardian show. We purchase our annuals there each year, and enjoying looking and talking to all the growers. Lot of pressure, wife is out of town.  While there...I purchased a bag of white oak barrel lump from a business that makes charred oak barrels.
This is made in Bamburg ......a small town in the low country of South Carolina. I added a few chunks to my lump, and wow what a surprise.

......I almost forgot....the money shot.

Hope you all had a great weekend. Thanks for looking
