Raising the steaks
Im going to try raising the steaks on a new York strip tonight. How well should I coat the steak? I normally just use kosher salt and pepper, but going to change it up!

I would sprinkle it over the entire surface, but don't cake it on there. It's a fairly coarse grind.bradk31 said:Im going to try raising the steaks on a new York strip tonight. How well should I coat the steak? I normally just use kosher salt and pepper, but going to change it up! -
I salt the steaks before hand, then mix some of the rub in with melted butter and baste the steaks, flipping a few times...Southlake, TX and Cowhouse Creek - King, TX. 2 Large, 1 Small and a lot of Eggcessories.
