Great pics and a great time. I too will be headed to Minnesota in a couple of weeks to get a hook wet.

That's pretty cool! But why are you having burgers?

I hate it when I go to the kitchen for food and all I find are ingredients!

Thanks for sharing. Looks like a good time! I haven't been ice fishing in a while. Good idea with hauling the mini with you for "shore lunch".
-
Nice! You catch anything?

It's nice to see kids out on the ice! I seen a couple while out ice fishing today that had a couple kids with them. They had to of been 2-3 years old. All bundled up playing on the ice. I can't wait for my kid to get a little older. He's only 14 months old and has a brother on the way so it'll be a while.NW IOWA

What dome temp on the mini would get it to melt the ice beneath it?

I don't even know if it's open in the winter, but there's a BBQ place called The Piggy right on main street in Walker that's pretty good.Stillwater, MN -
Life isn't living without family, man. Even though you crazy yanks feel the need to fish on ice, it's all about the experience!! Kid's first fish is bigger than any football game! Congrats passing the torch today.

I know where it's at. I get up that way once a year, usually around Walleye opener. Good stuff for up north.StillH2OEgger said:

They hauled in a few crappies that they filleted for their super bowl party. They had the house on a hot spot for sure. Lots of small ones though.WeberWho said:Nice! You catch anything?

Considering it was about 16" thick, I'm pretty sure it would take a couple of pallets at 650 degrees to melt through.Foghorn said:What dome temp on the mini would get it to melt the ice beneath it?

Don't mean to sabotage but thought I would share this picture of my littles from a couple weeks ago. Was out yesterday, too, with less luck. Take a kid fishing, it can change a life. Cheers.

I'm a father, husband and a veteran and I love food. Cooking it, thinking about it and eating it.
