Oh my friend, that's a tough break, no pun intended. I feel your pain. Terrible way to start your day. What caused it to flip over?

Real crappy lesson to learn but may I suggest a handler next go and to those that roll their eggs around without one.

My deepest condolences

That is awful. I am afraid I would be physically sick after that. Wonder if that handler thing would help prevent this sorta thing? Might be something to look into with the next one, I might think about it too.
-
This is a good lesson. If you are going to move your egg around in a nest, be very careful AND get a handler! No bueno!
-
I know this is a bit late now, but always PULL an egg and never Push. Gives you a chance to catch it if it becomes unstable. Are the guts and dome salvageable? Looks like it may be fixable with a new bottom section. Appeal to the Buffalo, he seems to be lurking about today. Perhaps he'll be helpful on superbowl sunday.

Da-n.
Mine are in nests and whenever I move them (once a year for the power wash) I always pull from the front of the nest. That greatly reduces the chance for the forward tip. And if it goes-I am the cushion...Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. Never push a BGE, always pull. If pushing, once it starts to go foreward its almost impossible to stop it. Even with a handler, you always want to pull the BGE.
Take photo to your dealer. Maybe they will discount a replacement.Thank you,DarianGalveston Texas -

Oh SNAP that sucks!!!!! I would be headed to my nearest open egg retailer to get a new one. Also, tell the wife that you need a whole new egg, buy a second base with it, and then you have two eggs!
