If you needed whatever empowered majority for anything back in 2010, then let the record show that we were gifted the ACA without any republican votes. I don't want or need to get into discussions about how many votes constitute a super majority or what you need in terms of getting legislation to the POTUS' desk but that did happen with the constituency of the Congress at the time. And they had the hammer-and used it.
Hammer has changed hands (large or small). The pendulum of government always swings. FWIW-Louisville; Rolling smoke in the neighbourhood. Life is too short for light/lite beer! Seems I'm livin in a transitional period. CHEETO (aka Agent Orange) makes Nixon look like a saint. -
