Eggfest in a parking lot by the pool store? Won't that be a bit tight on space?

Do ya have more info other than location? Looks like a 4 hour drive for us from Okeechobee so it might be something we can do.

@Jupiter Jim & @HofstraJet for detail contact James Simmons at email address I listed. This is a first for our area let's make it EPIC!!! The more the merrier. If we bring in huge crowd it'll justify holding the consecutive year's Fests and a larger venue. Hope to see y'all there.

@NPHuskerFL @HofstraJet I'm in the Panhandle of Florida (Panama City). We had one last year, but they said they loss money (hardly any advertising). It was their fault, no charge for people tasting. I really hope another dealer picks it up for next year. It was my first to cook in. I really enjoyed it.

@Dobie @StJohnsEgg @SaintJohnsEgger @MaC122 @XLentEGG and I'm certain there are other locals I'm forgetting. Not to mention some of the GA and NC/SC eggheads that may want to make the hike. Pretty sure Kristi is making the jaunt down too. Hoping they have a great first year at doing this.

Blake, wish I could make it, but that's my kids Spring Break, so we'll be on a boat! Good luck, and I do have a friend that lives in St Johns. I'll mention it to him.

I'll be there but no plans to cook. I figure I'll just go and enjoy my first Eggfest without the pressure of cooking. But I'm open to helping someone else cook. Only about 7-8 miles from my house.

@NPHuskerFL Holy crap man, that 5 minutes from my house! Not much of a cook but I'd like to somehow be involved. Can you PM so that I can help out. Maybe setup or anything? I guess I could help with apps if you need that. Text or call me, too, if you got my number. This is great.

edit: just drove down and talked to James. Gave him my information so that I could help set up. He said they already have over 20 cooks and they are looking for more

Thanks for all the interest in the event so far. We do have a facebook page, that has some info. The website will be up soon. I will update then. It is in the parking lot but we are going to have 15-20 cook teams and are building for an even bigger event next year hopefully. A little closer and I would be there! I had plans to go to the one in Pensacola last year but ended up having work. Maybe I can talk the wife into a road trip! Side note I'm digging the event website, some of these others I've seen look really cluttered (maybe it's just my OCD coming out).
