I have not been a big fan of the current President. Having said that, I'm very happy to learn he has relieved a major problem from the plate of the incoming administration. We learned yesterday afternoon that he has made major headway in US - Russia relations! I am quite confident we will no longer experience cyber war issues with them any longer. He has once again employed a brilliant and time honored strategy! Many of you will be quite familiar with the brilliant tactical approach. Now, keep in mind this is not conjecture or hearsay as I heard it directly from the Presidents own mouth. I now know how many felt upon hearing "the war was over" on May 8, 1945 or August 15 when the Japanese surrendered. Through an act of pure courage, our President has told Putin to "cut it out". Now, I for one remember when my grade school teacher spoke those words to me or one of my cohorts. Oh, the horror! You can bet your arse that I did in fact "cut it out"! Again, thank you sir! We are definitely better off as you pointed out repeatedly! It's another proud day for high brow diplomacy! Whew! I'm actually in awe! My heart swells with pride as I wipe the emotion from my cheek. Bless you all.  =)

    I just stood and saluted that amazing act of patriotism.  But I think, "Don't do it again or else"  would have been appropriate too.  (See Syria).

    Remember when Obama said don't cross this line!! They crossed it, and he drew another line.
    I loved how before the election the dems were all laughing at The Donald for talking about how something hinky might happen with the election. Even Big Ears said it was ludicrous that the election could be tampered with. Now he and many dems are whining like little bitches. Kind of like that old beer commercial said at the end, it doesn't get any better than this.

    Well Obama did say cut it out, but he also said the US would retaliate at a time and place of their own choosing, maybe not as strong as some would like, but still, he did say the retaliation would be obvious and some not so obvious. 
    @JohnInCarolina - had not seen that one before, LMAO. I do wish the President Elect all the best, as the tail we often go where the dog goes, Putin is a master politician and businessman, Trump is still learning the politician part.

    A year or so ago when Putin was slapping Obama around and invading countries, people were bashing Obama,  so some O's supporters asked, so what should he do, go to war over this? No, of course not. The time to do something was not after the invasion, it was before, as in not being the wimp that he was. If some kid in high school is walking around all day saying "my name is Melvin, and I collect butterflies!!!" After someone holds Melvin upside down by his ankles and dunks his head in the toilet, well it is too late for Melvin. But, it would have been advisable for him to not walk around telling everyone my name is Melvin and I collect butterflies!!!!

    Obama's "red line" remark was about as dumb as it gets.  That did immeasurable damage to US foreign policy.

    Skiddymarker Putin is a master politician and businessman, Trump is still learning the politician part. 
    I think that is part of the charm for Mr. Trump and one reason I voted for him. The "political part" is what has gotten us into the mess we are in. Not knowing how to play the game, Mr Trump is left to use his business sense and improvise how he plays the game. 

    Remember the definition of insanity - doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results. We have been doing the same thing over and over for the last 30-50 years. I think its time to change the rules and play a different strategy.

    I agree, there seems to be a move to look at the non-career politicans in many places around the world. Folks everywhere are tired of the same old same old. Time will tell, I suppose.

    Two of Putin's near-term priorities are to have sanctions lifted AND hold on to Crimea.  It will be interesting to see if he realizes those and why.

    Putin slapped Obama around like we used to do to substitute teachers. But hey, as I remember, they never said "cut it out." If only the subs would've known.

    It's not just the words, it's the fact they come from the biggest wussy to ever sit in the big chair. He has a well earned reputation for not following through. I just bet Putin was very concerned. We have been routinely humiliated on the international stage. Very one has witnessed the disaster, even you.
