These burgers were rediculous. Did a double for myself and a single for my daughter with sautéed onions and tomatoes. I am in a meat coma.
$30 burgers usually are purty darn good!

Wow. That looks unbelievably good. I did that with a cheap choice brisket once and that was amazing. I can't imagine how good that tastes.

@Lit -  working the troll line again, I see.  And a mighty expensive lure.  Given your first, you will likely not recall it with the passion of other life firsts.

@bgebrent -  the great majority of brisket points get sacrificed to burger meat.  I'm sure it is heavily cut with "throwaway offal" thus when you get a straight-up brisket point pedigree burger it is a notch above.

It was actually not a bad price I got the buy 1 get one briskets a couple weeks back so it came out to under $6 a lb shipped. I figured this way I could get 30 or so burgers out of this one and freeze them in 2 packs and enjoy them multiple times. I saved the 15.75 lb one for when I decide to cook a brisket.

I really really really regret missing the BOGO sale... Any hints when the next one will be @SRFShane

  • I can say that their RR ground beef is some of the best I have ever had. We buy it all the time. The SRF is crazy good too but at $11 lb, this is cheaper! i think the RR is around $7 so if you did the bogo, you are right in there. I probably wouldn't do it, but this is a steal for this quality of ground beef.

I dropped some heavy hints for a Takeda gyuto, so here's hoping. I might have to do this with one of my SRFs. That way my wife will stop yelling at me about what I'm doing with 60 lbs of brisket in the freezer.
