OT - Trick or treaters

    Brother in Carolina, every year I put on a hayride, set up outdoor games (horseshoes, corn hole, apple bob etc) and we have numerous kids come participate. However in the 9 years that we have lived here, not a single trick or treater. I don't understand that. Numerous come for the hayride and games, but not one single trickster in 9 years. Not one.

    We took our daughter trick or treating and it was pretty darn lonely I must say. Outside of a couple large packs of kids being carted around on hayrides. I didn't see but a couple walkers. Kids are lazy... no golf cart = no trick or treating.

    We didn't keep count, but it was less then last year I believe.  I lot more candy left over then usual.  I think in our neighborhood some of the kids are getting to the age they have out grown it and not a lot of younger kids are moving in.  Our house is also at the very back of our neighborhood and they just chose not to come back our way.  The weather was great other then a little windy, but I would have to guess maybe 60 to 70 came to our door.  My kid hit a lot of houses though with to of his buddy's.

    Well, next year the joke will be on them. All the snacks that I serve will be made from testicles and anus. I won't tell them until after they have already ate it :D

    On the Sunday before Halloween our neighborhood does a parade to our park, and then a costume contest, with a DJ.  After that everyone walks through and does trick or treating.  Usually we get about 150, but we were at a school open house and got home late.  Probably only saw 50-60 come through.

    My first year of 19 in this house not being home to hand out candy. Eldest daughter had her last high school soccer game so I could not miss that. I like handing out beers to the parents who look as if they need one.
