I just realized that people complaining about East Coast bias are fans of a former East Coast team. How meta!

I was dead then so it has no meaning to me.
Just bought an Egg?  Here is what you get to look forward to now:

Plate Setter, FlameBoss 200, Spider, PSWOO-CI, Additional Rig Shelf for dome cooking, Thermapen, iGrill2, Cast Iron, Blackstone, Cooking Accessories for the Blackstone, Cover for the Egg and the Blackstone, shopping for Rub like a fine wine or IPA, and a new fascination with lump and what brand is the best-all to be debated every Friday Night.  Next desires-Joetisceriie, Adjustable Rig, Grillmates, table and more eggs

Late June.....The greatest show on dirt in Ohama. You can't beat it.
I'd go with the Little League World Series in late August to fill the "can't wait for football" gap.

I would be surprised if the Cubs do not win it all. Tonight, Sherzer takes it home, even though he is 0-2 in Playoff series deciding games.

yeah, it is sad when a team wins the series one year and not so much the next.  I lived in KC for 7 yrs and went to quite a few games. Kauffman Stadium is a nice venue, but still a NL/Nats and AL/Rangers fan.

It takes a lot out of the team to win the world championship, which is why winning them back to back so rare such a big deal

I think billionaire team owners should pay for their own fvcking stadiums/ballparks.
I agree, but they're billionaires for a reason....

I think it's the main reason the board of supervisors were voted out since they allowed the tax payers to bend over and take it behind closed doors. Those poor, poor billionaires!

I have to say I questioned many moves Roberts made in that game with his pitchers but he got it done!

Cubs will destroy the Dodgers however.

I am glad I don't live or work near Cobb county, so I think it is great. Especially since I work for SunTrust...

Yeah I am in Woodstock so the stadium will be closer, but I am definitely concerned about the impact on traffic. I also just don't really like the idea of moving the stadium out of the city.  For you in John's Creek the travel time to the new stadium will be about the same, although you do have the option of taking some back roads.  I feel bad for the fans that live in the city that now have to fight traffic out of the city on game nights.  I feel really bad for the fans that live south of Atlanta.

We will also have to see how this northwest corridor project works out. I won't pretend to be any kind of expert in transportation...but it seems that for the cost of building the detached highway with 10 story tall ramps and bridges they could have considered a rail system.
