    End of first inning, some Jays and Indians batters had trouble with the 'daylight challenge', e.g. throwing away the sunglasses in frustration. Thanks to NLCS game on same day, 3 of first 5 ALCS games are day games, go figure  =)

    Well, I really wasn't sure who I was rooting for in this series, but when that ball went out, I now know I want the Cubs in this series.

    I don't think the Dodgers can win it all. I fear the Cubs could and probably will but I don't want them to win either, so there was a part of me that wanted the dodgers to beat the Cubs and then lose in the World Series. 

    Tonight proved though rough that I don't want the Dodgers to have a shot at winning the World Series more so than the Cubs.

    I think so.  They have been the only team ESPN has talked about all year long (minus any time David Ortiz got a single)

    Do you really think a "controversial" replay review leads to such an a$$whupping as 10-2????

    If the LA Times is saying "Dodgers follies..." I'm not sure one replay is to blame.

    One replay is not to blame, nor do I think it necessarily had anything to do with the outcome, but when the replay occurred, it was 0-0.  It would have given the Dodgers a lead, which could have changed the momentum.  Making a final play at the plate like that is a motivator going into the teams dugout.

    It is also kind of my point.  Assuming MLB is "helping" the Cubs, this is exactly how they do it.  If they can find a reason to uphold or change a call that favors the Cubs, it does not mean the Cub's will win (unless its the last play of the game of course) but it can "help" them win, without it out and out look like the fix is in.  Cubs still have to win the game and finish the job, but it definitely looks like "help" to me.

    I also do not believe by the way, that the team receiving the "help" is in on it at all.    I think this is a MLB thing trying to get as many people as possible to watch the WS and hopefully attract more people to the game.  That call last night, has removed serious doubts from my mind about them not "helping".  There is no way they can call him out after watching that replay if they were on the up and up.

    Yes, I'm positive this is the case.  No doubt actually.  I look forward to reading any and all of the tell-all books written by the umps in NY that are in on it and will eventually blow the whistle.  :o

    People talk about the Cubs because it's THE story.  When the Giants got the second wild card spot, beat the Mets, then gave the Cubs a hard time, Madison Bumgarner's heroics were THE story...for a few days.  Dodgers aren't that kind of story, new owners are running them like the Yankees, buy a championship, eat as many contracts as you need to put a collection of 'stars' on the field to win.  Get rid of a manager that was a HoF player.  Not the kind of feel good story that media over-revs on.  Now, if the Dodgers do win, the story will become the first year manager and all of the young, homegrown talent they have, because that's a better story.  Right now that story is just third fiddle behind the 108 year drought in Chicago and the resurgence of Cleveland, a city that's been down for a very long time.

    I think MLB leadership probably have scenarios they would like to see, as do the media, but actual in-game tampering? I would find that as hard to swallow as overcooked steaks and pickled chicken.

    I usually don't buy into conspiracy theories. These calls that are all going the Cubs way though are just making it really hard not to!!!!!

    I am sure I am wrong, but now I am watching without a fans eye, and it just seems extremely fishy.

    If the errors are too often and always in one teams favor, then it is no longer easy to believe it is an error.....

    Name me an Instant Replay Call that has gone AGAINST the Cubs that falls into a "controversial category" so far in this post season.........

    Keep in mind, when it goes to Replay, we are also no longer talking about ONE person making the call....we are now talking about a few people.......

    I did not say I want the Dodgers to win. I don't want the Dodgers or the cubs to win at this point. In my perfect world, the Indians will win it now, thus making both the Dodgers and the Cubs losers and post season under performers.
