I'm on holiday in Lanzarote in the Canary Islands and visited their Volcano national park. At the top is a restaurant that has a grill that uses the natural heat from the inert volcanoes for their heat source. Constant temp of 400 degrees centigrade! Pretty unique!

Neat!
If volcanoes give off sulfurous fumes the way hot springs do, I think I'd pass on eating there. Did you eat at the restaurant, Rob?Finland has more than 1 sauna for every 2 citizens.

Is the sulfur smell off putting?

Just chicken pieces! No fumes though. All residual heat, couldn't pick up the sand outside as it was too hot!

Super cool. Now it's a matter of figuring out how to get it into my backyard.....

Large BGE & Mini Max for the wok. A few old camp Dutch ovens and a wood fired oven. LSG 24” cabinet offset smoker. There are a few paella pans and a Patagonia cross in the barn. A curing chamber for bacterial transformation of meats...
"Bourbon slushies. Sure you can cook on the BGE without them, but why would you?"

And I thought cooking on the egg was cool.
