Hello everyone!

Hello everyone!

Recently acquired a BGE and I'm very happy with it, though I'm a newbie to Kamado Style Cooking and obviously to BGE.

Any tips or recommendations from expert eggheads is always welcome and appreciated.

Sorry for the English, is not my first language

    Only one tip.
Beware the flash back from opening a hot oxygen starved egg.
Always open the vents for about 20 seconds before opening the lid.
Failure to follow this warning will result in hairless knuckles.
  • Hi! Welcome. I'm a newbie too. Only advice I can offer is "ask here". There's 100s of years of combined experience amongst these smart folks and they share generously. Just reading the forum has saved me hours (lifetimes?) of learning by trial and error.

Welcome aboard and enjoy the journey.  Great start right out of the gate.  Nice set-up you have.  As above, ask away and you will quickly see that there are many options for most cooks and all will achieve great results.
    End-game; Have fun!

  • Thanks lousubcap, will do that, better clear any doubt before starting. Nothing worst than losing an investment (time and good meat).

Ha! Thanks northGAcock, in my case everything is northern English

Couldn't have said it better. When I'm stumped on what to cook I just come here and use someone else's cook for an idea.
