It's What We Eggheads Do

Sometime back an Egghead had mentioned that they were interested in acquiring one of the original "Mini EggCarten"s.
I had one that I had bought new and had used for a few years as we traveled to many Eggfests. I later had purchased the new Mini Carrier and no longer had a need for it and it was sitting in my garage.
So I shipped it to him so when he and the family go on their many camping excursions they can take the Mini safely with them.
We first met up at the N Georgia Eggfest a few years ago. Shelly and myself along with Bruce and Kelley stop by their camp site to say hi. We were invited to stay a bit, we did and talked for a while. What a great family they are.
He wanted to pay me but I said no, but you could pay it forward come Christmas by donating a few gifts to those that need the help.
Well I thought no more about it until today when this showed up!
Wow was I surprised!
Thanks @Jerimiah, you did not need to send anything. And by the way Shelly LOVES GRITS! You made her day.

Thanks my friend.                     (Nice packing material from Honda, it worked!)

The giver often reaps more benefits by the act of giving....than the receiver. Looks like in this case....we have a win / win.....nice job guys.

  • That's just like you and Shelly to do something like that, and I'm not surprised that they would thank you for your generous gift.  Eggheads tend to be like that.

@sgh I asked 2 years ago for someone to send me some grits for a dinner I was doing and no one did. Maybe I was too new on the forum.

I was just messing with Miah above. If you really need some grits, that can certainly be arranged for sure.

  • While we are on the topic, I am new here but I think I have read reference to a Holiday Sauce exchange or something like that. Have people done that here?

@sgh @northgacock all is good. I don't know if what I had was real grits as it took hours to cook. It was the only variety I was able to procure.

I appreciate the offers though guys.

Non instant grits should take about 20-25 min to cook. You can slow cook them in a crock pot overnight with some cheese......oh the joy....but standard is about 20 min.
