Sorry to hear that Carey. I suffer the same from time to time, for me it is aggravating the sciatica nerve. What really works for me is taking an anti inflammatory tab (Diclofenac/Voltaren), and hydrate like crazy.. Hey I am not a doctor so take with a pinch of salt.. MIL is in ICU fighting for her life, thanks to some good luck, her dog, postal service, neighbors and first responders.
Sepsis, dehydration, and the onset of kidney failure is what we know right now. Evaluations still going on with injuries associated with impact (concussion, broken bones)
She looked and acted very healthy and physically fit. Had she not been both, she would not be alive today.
Postal delivery man casually mentioned to a neighbor the dog was going crazy and noticed she had not collected her mail yesterday, neighbor said she would check on her, and thought something was amiss. Tried reaching her, then called 911.
My MIL, had been ill for a while it seems, and nobody, not even her, had known it.
She became disoriented, and fell in the bathroom. She was not responsive when they arrived. Suzy and I spent the night with her in the hospital last night, I am heading over to the house to clean it up, and secure the door from where it was broken down in an effort by the EMTs to gain access. I am thankful that they did.
There are wonderful people in this world. We are lucky to know so many.

@YukonRon - Ron, First all the best with your MIL. Pulling hard for her and our prayers are also with Suzanne during this difficult time. Family always comes first....and know you are staying close on this one.

Dogs are amazing animals and have a tremendous sense for when things aren't right. Being sensitive to your situation, I will only make a light comment regarding @bgebrent and a solid pup I have just for his enjoyment.
